Bash scripting is certainly a pretty fluid and useful skill to have. Everyone wants to customize their operating system to a degree, except maybe not if you are primarily into macs/apple, or you just use your computer for social media and email.
Laziness and lack of extra hard drive space are two great excuses not to :) For me it's the former, because I must have a couple of terabytes of HDD space lying around.
I personally just put the few important things I have in cloud accounts, and just shrug about the rest. However, if you basically live on your computer, that is a whole other conundrum.
I don't use vpns. My workaround is im extremely cautious about what do on the internet, i take the warning signs very seriously, and try very hard not to show anger, hostility, and i try not to buy anything. Plus, linux does help for the viruses.

I prefer the Xbox USB cables for computer gaming, they seem to be more standard and work so much better.
I like desktop items: last time i was using standard ubuntu, there was some issue putting things on the desktop. Does anyone know what im talking about?
I think that's worthwhile to bring up: even though chrome doesn't come pre-installed, i have never had an issue installing it. I think the main thing is that firefox is more "ideologically" consistent with the FOSS community. Google clearly isn't trustworthy in terms of how they manage the...
