So when I installed manjaro 20, I chose no bootloader.. quite regret that one. I've been trying to repair my windows installation, can I just install Linux manjaro with its bootloader? Would I be able to boot into windows?

If I understand you correctly, you are asking if reinstalling Manjaro and installing a bootloader at the same time will fix your problem.

Maybe. If the Windows files are corrupted, updating your bootloader won't help. However, it's worth a shot (to see if Windows is still intact). Maybe some guru can inform you how to install a bootloader from Linux without reinstalling the OS?

I'm pretty sure I did the partitions right and I chose no bootloader so I'm pretty sure windows is still intact, at least my files are there from doing dir in the installation disk.

If you get rEFInd onto a usb stick assuming your pc is uefi you will be able to boot either windows or Linux .I know I tested it for both.if you can get Mankato booted up then you should be able to install grub.then you run update-grub then it will add windows to boot entry

I'm on my phone waking up - so not good at navigating but somewhere on here I did post with links for rEFInd .IMG file you need for usb and about doing DD command to put IMG onto usb

Oh, and btw, i did delete manjaro 20 because that operating system not found scared me a bit too much..

Time to boot into Manjaro live usb for the 638452853283638th time

So basically your windows I think is not destroyed just not on boot loader yet

Yeah but I was worried for a sec because I tried everything in the installer

Take a snapshot of your partitions using gParted and post here .maybe wait for replies I'm off to do morning tai chi exercises

Wait... what
