I wish my start screen was a simple os options panel like 'virt-manager' where i choose my activity.

Is there such a thing as a ready made Linux Os or set-up specially conceived for virtualization similar to this description :

My set-up plan :

1-One base stripped-down OS only used for virtualization. No extra apps & pollution. Read that Alpine is plus safe since it has less attack surface so i figure it may be a good choice or should i get a more equipped lightweight os with extra features(security, networking) i cannot forsee as a newbee.

2-Plan to compartmentalize activites & users on different virtual machines . Example: 1 os for studying, 1 os for leasure, 1 os for shoping etc.
Base os always remains simple & crisp clean.

3- The gnome-boxes app on my present mintOs can only open one virtual machine at a time. I wish i could have at least two simultaneous virtual machines open sometimes specially for this new set-up.

If that's just for you I find that an overkill, if you want something to separate things you might as well use something like firejail or another sandbox application.

Hi again. Firejail. Well there goes one more detail. Can i sandbox a full os vs an app ? How/when do you find it important to Firejail ?

About compartmentalizing I really wanna isolate all other distractions if i am studying for example, that's just my personal way.

And i have been listening to Braxman security and identity stuff...
It's pretty strict. I want to implement good habits to avoid being 'bubbled' as duckduckgo says. It's kinda like a fun jamesBond game againts bigTech but that's another conversation..
