Blurriness on Odysee

I've been recently watching some videos on Odysee more often, and if I play them online, the picture quality is blurry, but if I download them and watch them through a video player, it's perfectly clear. I'm guessing this is a compression issue coming from Odysee's servers? How do I resolve this?

Pure Speculation (but done with knowing how the 'net works):

It is compression. Your broadband isn't all that fast. So, it automatically adjusts the video quality when you stream it. It does this to stop it from buffering constantly. You stream at a lower resolution than full quality.

When you download it, you download the full resolution. So, the quality is better when you download it.

You can often select the quality manually at streaming sites, but it may/will otherwise optimize the stream for your bandwidth constraints.

Good to know. I was recently telling my parents that I want to start paying for my own phone bill, so I might as well pay for my own internet as well.

Many streams let you pick your own resolution, such as at YouTube (click the gear icon and change the quality). I have slow broadband, but always set it at at least 720 or 1080. If I'm doing nothing else, I can watch 4k - but that saturates my connection.
