Hello,
I have been trying to install wine correctly with no success. I want to use it to install a program called easy canvas. I have re imaged my install of mint 3 times now trying to get everything to wok properly. Every time I install wine and begin the install of easy canvas I get an error when the drivers begin to load as if the correct drivers were not there or the install freezes at the driver install section. I have had to reimage mint due to the system files partition filling up from all of my attempts. Th only way I have been able to find to fix the partition being full is to re image it. I would really appreciate any guidance. I am new to Linux and Mint.

G'day @c1984 and welcome to linux.org :)

I am not a Wine user so I won't try to solve that, someone else will come along soon, I hope.

But with those screenshots (and thanks), better than the phone pics, which we can read well, is to go to your Mint start menu, start to type in

screenshot

and use it to take the 2 pics.

Choose the option to capture the active window, and set the time if you wish, then attach them here.

Also tell us your Mint version and desktop, if you are unsure, at the start menu start to type in

welcome

and press enter and from the popup window tell us what is in bottom right corner.

Good luck

It doesn't work on Linux.

It looks like you and I have either the same Lenovo model or similar. You can use Krita as an alternative with your hand or stylus.

I have a lenovo yoga c740. Well that is good to know it wasnt me installing wine incorrectly then. It was driving me crazy. I can get the touch screen on the computer to work but need to use and ipad hooked up as a drawing tablet to present. I just went ahead and bought a wacom drawing tablet for that though so i should be good.

On EasyCanvas website - http://www.easynlight.com/en/easycanvas/ - it says it needs -
PC :Windows 8 or later Mac OSX 10.11 or later and "It cannot be used on a PC using an ARM CPU."
- most Wine Default is Windows 7 - run
Code:
winecfg
and change it to Windows 10 and check your CPU

I used a wacom drawing tablet on Linux before it works great. And yes I have that exact laptop model.

Boring Zombie that's good to know I was a bit worried about compatibility.

Lord Boltar I had previously changed it to windows 10 before recieving this error.

@BoringZombie Do you know of any way to get the finger print reader to work to let you into linux mint by any chance?
I have never used the fingerprint scanner on it as I find it to be a security risk. There are some tutorials online you can try out and see if it works.
