I just recently rebuilt my rig and installed Pop os on one ssd and windows 10 on another ssd, hoping to dual boot.

I’ve been using Solus Budgie on my laptop for a few years now and love but Pop/Gnome feels like starting from scratch. Also the gnome desktop feels very stiff and looks way too like MacOs, which I absolutely hate. Even with windows 10, I used classic shell to make it look and feel more like windows 7.

Is that something I can do with gnome?

Also… I got Pop because I wanted to transition my gaming away from windows and Solus isn’t great for gaming. So far, my hardware (ryzen 7 and 5800x, Radeon 5600xt and asus b550m mobo) feel sluggish and tracking down the Linux compatible drivers has been surprisingly difficult. I know I’m still thinking too windows-esque, expecting things like the Radeon hub, but even my Solus knowledge doesn’t seem to apply here.

What am I doing wrong?

Is that something I’ll have to manually do each time? I also assume their’s no AMD package with a dashboard, correct?
The driver is a .deb file you use Gdebi to install it - one time good deal - open Gdebi then select the deb file if it needs any extra dependencies it will grab them for you - if Gdebi is not installed run
Code:
sudo apt update
then
Code:
sudo apt install gdebi

the command
Code:
sudo lshw -c video
is for info only so you can see what AMD stuff is installed already

I’m also having trouble with the asus mobo drivers - do you know a prompt for that?

Asus b550m tuf gaming + wifi

I don’t use Wi-Fi either, that’s just the mobo model - it was actually cheaper than the same motherboard sans wifi
