I wanted to install ubuntu on the computer, but only the terminal appears, what should I do? can you help me?

Do you know the specs for your computer?
How big is hard drive? How much RAM? What kind of CPU? What graphics card?
Are you on an Ethernet LAN, or do you plan on using Wifi?

What Linux distro are you trying to install? Mint, Ubuntu, Fedora, or something else?
How are you installing it? USB drive? How far along in the install did you get?
What have you tried so far?

Do you know the specs of your computer? : No. How big is the hard disk? : enough. RAM big enough? : 4gb. What kind of CPU?: I know which graphics card. Are you on Ethernet LAN or are you planning to use Wifi? : wifi. Which Linux distribution are you trying to install? Mint, Ubuntu, Fedora or something else? : ubuntu. How do you set up? USB driver? : yes usb driver. How far did you go with the setup? : I don't know as I don't understand much but it just looks terminal. So I can write code. What have you tried so far? : I haven't tried anything because I don't understand much.

It seems you already have Mint installed. But you are wanting the GUI ( graphical interface ).

When you login, you can try this command.

startx

If that works, you make your computer do this automatically for you this way..

systemctl set-default graphical.target

if it doesn't work, you may not have the desktop applications and libraries installed.
I don't use Ubuntu, so someone else may be better to help you with that part.

how can i delete ubuntu and continue using mint?

First welcome to the forums,
did you read any of the information in the getting started forum? do you have any files/folders/pictures in the old installation that you need to keep, of so save them to a spare usb pendrive, then your easiest answer is to start again with the distribution of your choice

There's nothing I want to keep about the old setup. I just want to delete ubuntu and continue using mint.

I didn't see any specifics as to what Ubuntu you installed.

Ubuntu Server is a server system and only has terminal or CLI (command line) input. Releases of this product are year.month in format, ie. Ubuntu Server 21.10 is the 2021-October release (add 2000 to the year).

Ubuntu Core is another type of server system, ie. again only text terminal or CLI options (it's intended for headless operation). Releases of this product are year in format, ie. Ubuntu Core 20 is the 2020 release (again add 2000 to year). There are differences to these specialist releases, thus why the different format is used for releases (also only one release is made in a year so need for month)

Ubuntu Desktop has a GUI; as it's intended for use on desktop or laptop type of computers; it's the only Ubuntu that provide GUI or graphic interfaces. Ubuntu also has flavors which are variations of the base Ubuntu Desktop system with different GUIs. Releases of these products use the year.month format, so the latest releases will be Ubuntu 21.10 or the 2021-October release.

You may have installed a Ubuntu Server product that doesn't have a GUI (graphical user interface) system, ie. one of the server choices. Providing full details of what you installed allow better understanding of where you are, and the ideal fix.

I am not convinced the OP has Mint installed.

@lewn please tell us the exact name of the .iso you downloaded and burned to a usb stick to install with.

For example:

linuxmint-20.3-cinnamon-64bit.iso

ubuntu-21.10-desktop-amd64.iso

or other.

Cheers
