Guys, the Cloudflare screen error 502 has appeared more than 10 times today from morning to evening with only 6 members and 510 guests. When I tried to go to the https://www.linux.org/forums/ it is happening whys is this happening I think Cloudflare can block any DDoS attack right?
It can be used to mitigate the effects of a distributed denial of service attack, depending on the configuration and how much you pay. It's not always completely effected.
That's way above my pay grade. Alas, our main admin is often pretty busy and our other admin (Wiz) probably doesn't have the keys to the kingdom and is merely an admin of the forum. I don't believe they have access to the hosting side of things, nor any privileges to change settings for CloudFlare or the likes.
I pinged Rob but so far have heard nothing that you haven't heard. I guess we can just be patient and keep documenting it. When I see the 'oops we ran into a problem', I wait and hit the post button a few minutes later. That seems to work, though I may check in another tab to ensure there's really an error.
I'm pretty convinced that our infrastructure just can't handle the load. If you get the CF error page, you'll see everything is up but the host. So, yeah...
The solution is better infrastructure. That's a financial thing, way above my pay grade.
I think something may have been up again because haven't been able to connect for several hours, kept getting the message from Cloudflare that linux.org host is down.
