I come from Win 10. my system was contaminated with a virus then I came across Linux Mint because the CD was in the Linux booklet. A friend told me to try Ubuntu from Stik and see the differences with Mint, I have problems with my printer settings and would like to try if another system solves problems How can I get a Ubuntu Startstik first?

Go here and download Ubuntu Desktop.

You will need a dual core processor, 4 GB's of RAM ( 1 GB can work) and 25 GB's of disk space to run Ubuntu.

You'll have to use Rufus if using Windows to make a USB stick bootable for your Linux install.

Once the USB stick is bootable go into the BIOS with the stick plugged in and go into the Boot section of the BIOS and make the USB stick the first choice in the boot menu. Save the changes and reboot.

Welcome to the forum.

I'm curious what booklet came with an install of Mint? Mint is a very good Linux distribution, especially for new users.

Mint comes with a utility called USB Image Writer, that you can use to create a bootable USB drive. (I'm not sure what StartStik is.)

Probably a magazine, they used to be all the rage when cd / dvd
drives were in use.
