I love the Linux.org logo, I think it's modern and stylish and I would love to use it as a Linux logo on my website but I'm not sure about the licensing.

Is Linux.org logo in public domain? Would love to use it on my websites and possibly print it as stickers :)

@NayamAmarshe , the post above this has signalled @Rob that there is a question that should be directed for his attention.

He will be alerted to the fact that i have done that.

Be patient.

No problem

Hey there @NayamAmarshe

Thanks for the compliments on the logo! Unfortunately, we'd like it to remain something just for the website and not for linux in general at this time. Appreciate you asking before just using it though!
Oh that's a bummer :( but I understand. Thanks for the reply, really wish this was in the public domain, such a nice logo.

About that...

In case Yandex deletes it from cache:

PS: I didn't match the transparent part's colour perfectly with the forum BG, I know, it was a hack 'n slash hex guess, lol.[/QUOTE]

Rob said no to the usage of the logo outside of this website. I recall seeing it elsewhere. Anyway, the reverse image search provided an example (not what/where I recalled exactly) of the logo being used elsewhere: Exhibit A: The first result is the logo with the colour changed. It really [i[is[/i] the exact same forum logo, just with the colour changed.

As a bonus, I think it may be useful for OP to see how many similar style options there are and how easy it is to use the concept to create something else. That's why I attached a screen capture; so that when it's un-cached, future visitors can still see it.

It's from RPCS3 website, they recreated Linux.org's logo and used that as an icon for download button

I understand now, thanks.
