Which Linux Distros Best for Laptop. i used Many Linux Distros they're all consume a lot of charge on laptop battery.

That's a known fact that battery life sucks on Linux, you can try installing TLP that will help a little.

i'm Newbie but dont underestimate as a noob. all used all of this thing but not help..
suggest a dsitro which is much better than other ..

As I said all Linux distros are crap with battery life on laptops.

If you run ubuntu or Mint your can install slimbook battery and it help some. You can get from their ppa here.
Battery efficiency is getting better all the time, but it is not on par with other OS's in that matter.
This page may be of help also.
Don't leave linux forever that's a bad statement. Which you may have to take back some day. Good luck.

haha lol, i smell a burn something by someone
I've been using Linux for a while but don't use a laptop very often, you are welcome to stay though.

Something I feel a need to say to some people who join here is

Just in case of any misapprehension on your part, we are not an official arm nor organ of Linux, just scored the dot org name - we are manned by volunteer staff who share a love of Linux and have varying skills in various departments.

That being said, there are over 500 Linux Distros out there, and more in the wild.

How would anyone have a clue as to which one is best in terms of battery consumption?

I run more Linux than anyone - currently 77 distros - and I would not have a clue to which one is thriftiest on battery power because my laptop is always plugged in unless I am on a long road trip.

Your question simply illustrates your lack of thought and knowledge on the subject.

give me a proper suggestion

... and it should be framed in less offensive and demanding terms if you wish a civil answer.

Do some legwork yourself and use Ventoy to throw 10 Linux distros on a USB stick at a time, and try them out for an hour or two.

Or search under for example

linux distro lowest battery power consumption

Something I've never worried about with my 10 year old Laptop that still has the original battery...when low I use it plugged in to the power socket...doesn't everyone.

Mm.

Surely, this isn't going to be so much a distro thing, as it is a kernel-related issue. After all, the kernel controls just how the software & hardware talk to each other.....and that includes the battery, no?

AFAIK, the kernel controls all the ACPI-related stuff. I believe this is what ultimately organises all power usage. I'm perfectly willing to stand corrected on this, but I don't think I'm so far out...

That said, I too am not a good judge of these things. On the rare occasions my old laptop gets used outside in the summer, it's almost always plugged into an extension lead from the garage.....which is only 15 feet away.

Mike. ;)

I've experienced longer battery lasting time on GNU/Linux comparing with windows. However, if you have any doubts you can watch this. (;)Btw, you might want to change your temper little bit)
