"Little Lies" from the "Tango In The Night" album by Fleetwood Mac - the first one from closer to when I saw them, in 1977, and the second one over 40 years later in 2019

This is one of my "then and now" combinations.

One of my favourite Doobie Brothers songs (saw them in 1976, brilliant) is "Black Water" from their 1974 album "What Were Once Vices Are Now Habits".

The first one is pretty much the studio version such as I heard in the 70s. It has the lyrics which might help you sing along to the following one.

The second was recorded during Lockdown in the USA, I like it. 45 years in between, Pat can still sing'em.

Back in the early 70's, when I was just learning to fly, I taxied off the south ramp of Norfolk International Airport (ORF) onto the taxiway. I looked to the right, and saw an older very large twin engine aircraft sitting back in the trees. Later, I walked back behind the Civil Air Patrol quonset hut to look at it. It had "Doobie Liner" painted on the side. I was told that it belonged to the Doobie Brothers, and had caught fire, and Burned on the ground. They just towed it into the bushes, and left it there while the insurance company figured out what to do with it.o_O

One of Elvis' planes has been stored for a long time while various insurance and ownership groups have been fighting over it. It's finally coming up for auction at an auction I'll be at (by phone - 'cause I'm gonna spend a stupid amount of money).

I will not be bidding on it. I kinda want to get my license 'cause so many people around me have licenses, but I really don't want the hassle (or time sink) of owning a plane. If I want to fly, I have plenty of pilot friends who own their own planes.

Oh, yeah! I owned a Cessna 150J for a few years. The say that a boat is a hole in the water that one pours money into, but a plane is much worse, except for the insurance. It cost me less to insure the plane for $1,000,000.00 liability (with 3 pilots on the insurance policy) than it cost to insure a super beetle and a van for full coverage.o_O
