where is /bin/sh?

i'm looking up the GNU sh source code.
I didn't find it in the GNU software directory.
Could u please tell me where can i get it?

BTW, is there any good books or materials talking about how does the shell work and interact with kernel once the operating system has been started? thank u

"sh" is usually a softlink to /bin/bash or /bin/dash, an alternative to bash.

The source is available through the git version control system at bash, or dash.
