I have spent the last 2 months building my Arch system. I threw a Cinnamon Desktop on my system for the whole time until I discovered Deepin. Damn, What a beautiful desktop! To hell with gnome, Cinnamon, Unity and xfce. Deepin is my happy place. I'm running on Arch Linux LTS whatever. To tell you the truth. Arch is awesome, it is a pain. You need time to muck around with packages and such. I have learned a heck of a lot about Linux by installing it, maintaining it but what I want is a Debian system.
I am way more comfortable with the packages and installs. Quite honestly, the Arch Linux people are a bunch of assholes who just point you to obvious. Thanks. Maybe I was inquiring more than just that? Maybe that is why maybe a Debian system comes into play for me. I have tried pretty much everything else.
Here is my dilemma, Debian Stable does not support Deepin Desk Top. From when I write this I am starting to see why. Deepin website is no longer there?! Damn. My Whole thing is about supporting Deepin. Maybe its just a server problem, after all they are in China. But if that is not the case, from my research I have found that you can actually run Deepin Desktop on Debian but it has to be on their unstable repositories. I am unsure on this stuff yet until I try.
