OK my minds in the gutter. :p:D

Got me, too, Tom :)

Might have to change the Title name, Peer.

Still, that's a great setup you are enjoying there

Links to only a couple of my old junk computers.

I have 25 working computers with Linux or Windows 10 installed although only using the Linux computers.

All of my Linux computers are others discarded computers which I have only my time invested in and zero money thanks to all of the excellent choices that Linux offers.

Yeah they ain't nothing cool or new but hey they all do what I need them to do and you can't beat free.

Like a Timex watch "it takes a licking and keep on ticking".

Hard to beat those old Dell, Tom ... Elaine and I had about 10 years straight with them, then after disasters with HP, Acer and Asus we looked at each other and said "Back to Dell". :D

I know, but that is how it's called.

Fair enough, Mate ... I had not heard of it but that is not unusual given my age, and I trust you. ;)

If it draws complaints, we'll look at it again

I've got a few older HP desktops and they are OK although HP laptops are junk and only good for target shooting.
I hate HP bios.

I've had good luck with Asus motherboards although they can sometimes be erratic and sometimes the memory controller can be overloaded when stuffed with 4 sticks of ram.

Dell has always been solid and run without problems in my experience.
Can't say how the newer Dells run as my newest Dell computer is from 2013.

I guess when you get them the way I get them free they're all good.
When they become problematic I take them out to the farm an shoot them full of bullet holes. :)

Yeah I run old stuff as well ....... but then again I am old stuff.
I tried a large screen LCD as a monitor found it to be hard to use from arms length away. Have to turn head to see corners.

My main monitor setup. Top two are 28 inch, bottom two are 32 inch. The top is home security cameras, the bottom is my main Linux machine. Laptops aren't visible in this picture.

Wow that looks pretty nice.
Wich internals do you have in your setup?
cpu how much ram etc.?
would be nice to know.

Oh wow! You're going to strain my "Old Man Memory." I'm currently not at home. I've been in North Carolina assisting my sister with her divorce and my invalid parents. But, I'll give it a whirl.

The big box Linux machine is an Asus MB, with a 6 core I7 processor. It was built around 2012, I think. It has 16 Gigs of ram, 2 Samsung 512 Gig SSD's, and 8 TB of hard disk storage. It also has a high end video card with 5 Gigs of Ram (it's a Radeon card). It dual boots Linux Mint Cinnamon and Windows 7.

The box on the left of the picture is the security camera server. It's a Smileadon case with a Gigabyte AMD MB, Ryzen 7 2700X 8 core processor. The computer has 16 Gigs of ram, has an older Radeon graphics card with dual HDMI outputs. It has a Samsung 512 Gig SSD, and a 4TB platter drive for video storage. It currently dual boots Windows 10 and Linux Mint Cinnamon, but I am going to lose Windows after I get home. I discovered I can run my camera software in Wine.

There are two laptops that complete my desk, one is a Gigabyte with an i7 4700 MQ processor, 16 Gigs of ram, 256 Gig SSD, and a 1 TB platter drive. This laptop (I'm using it here in North Carolina) dual boots Linux and Windows 7. It is my teaching computer).

The other laptop is an older Asus W-90(?) series laptop. It has an Intell processor, 4 core 9600 series I think. It too has 16 Gigs of ram, a 512 Gig SSD, and a 1 TB platter drive. It also dual boots Linux and Windows 7. This is my "Test Computer." I use it to make all my mistakes on, before I upgrade the other three.

If I made a mistake, I'll correct the post when I get home.;)
