Darn. Succeeded in reformatting the usb and installing Zorin lite, but it is still acting up (SOLVED)

@heretical_1 Maybe you could try running another and lighter distro like Linux Lite or Xubuntu which are also based off Ubuntu, also, Q4OS is really lightweight and easy to use, you don't have to install them, just download their isos, burn them to your USB device, boot them up, see how they peform and if you like any of them or any other http://distrowatch.com/ then install the one that suits you better. I know it's hard to move from something we're used to but sometimes it's for the best. By the way, when copying/pasting stuff from your terminal to the forum use BBcodes, so it looks and reads better, how? Easy, just follow these steps:
1. Copy whatever it is you need us to see from your terminal.
2. Write "[ code ]" then paste what you just copied in the forum and close it with "[ /code ]" resulting in something like
Code:
"[ code ]" then paste what you just copied in the forum and close it with "[ /code ]"
Note that there should be no spaces and/or quoting marks or it won't work "[ code ]" then paste what you just copied in the forum and close it with "[ /code ]" see? but if done properly
Code:
then paste what you just copied in the forum and close it with
pretty easy, isn't it? And it does look and reads better, doesn't it? So next time try and do that and help us to help you. :)

yes, I will do that next time. I'm going to go ahead and take the puter in to a friend who runs a puter repair shop, have him look it over and see if it might be a hardware issue, then try to worry about the os. May take a few days, but will let you folks know how I eventually solve the issue.

problem solved. Went to a friend who does this for a living, paid for him to deal with it. He gave me a whole new puter and installed Zorin for me. No idea what the original issue is/was.
Maybe it was a hardware related issue. Mark the thread as SOLVED, you can do that by editing your first post and inserting (SOLVED) in the title. Good that solved it. :)

That was nice of your friend to give you another pc.

Enjoy your Zorin distro and have a great day.
