What do you think is the surface pro x a good choice for Linux? Because the spx has no fan compared to the sp 7, it is better in design and in terms of hardware performance. Just wouldn't be the problem with poor. Which makes it more difficult to run Linux on the device. But there are apparently people who are concerned with getting it to work. So the question arises if you are patient about Linux, you can buy the spx rather than the sp 7.
And there is already a possibility that a subsystem is made available by Windows. So what do you think what do you think of Linux regarding sp x and sp 7?

I wouldn't be getting a Surface Pro. Besides getting a laptop from a manufacturer that sells Linux exclusively preinstalled onto their systems such as System76, StarLabs or Tuxedo, the only other manufacturers of laptops I would buy from that has a decent track record of Linux support would be Dell, HP and Lenovo.

So in short, neither.

You could also have a look at a slimbook

I have read horror story's about trying to get Linux to work on the Surface Pro so I think I'd do some very deep research into Linux compatibility and the Surface Pro before purchasing.

The price alone and the fact it say's Microsoft on it would be a deal killer for me.

Laptops and tablets are disposable appliances and that amount of money for something disposable no way not happening in my world.

I have an RCA 7inch Android tablet cost $35.00 that does everything I need when I'm out and about.

I use a microsoft ergonomic keyboard, nothing wrong with it works great.

Welches Tablet würden Sie mir genau empfehlen?
Wenn es Linux unterstützen soll
Es kann so viel kosten wie sp x
Es sollte auch ungefähr so viel Leistung haben wie das sp x

And it should also be usable with a keyboard as well as without it should be comfortable like surface 7 or sp x

OMG!

I was being facetious about Microsoft name being on a product.
My apologies to all who may have been offended or still be offended.

There's also a difference between a keyboard working on a Linux computer than Linux working properly on a Microsoft Surface Pro.

I own several keyboards with the Microsoft brand name on them however I doubt that it is manufactured by Microsoft.

I personally have no complaints with Microsoft and have computers with Windows 10 although I don't care for Windows 10 so I don't use Windows 10.

No need to apologize I'm not made of glass. I wasn't offended, I was just stating a fact that I use a microsoft keyboard. It is a really comfortable keyboard for typing, for anything else with microsoft in the name I try to avoid as much as I can ;)

And I never check when I'm buying new hardware if it has good Linux support, don't have time that.

What will you be using your laptop for?

Linux sollte also darauf laufen, aber das ist klar.
Ansonsten zum Surfen und Spielen. Ich würde nur ps2-Spiele darauf emulieren wollen

Will you please quit posting in german. I looked over your other post, that system should be fine for playing old games through emulators. However I find the screen a bit small if you are going to be gaming on it. And 265G ssd/drive is a bit small now days but more than enough for a Linux install.
