    canon pixma ts3120 printer

Brickwizard, Thank you for your advice. In searching, I have found on the Canon site a few *.tar.gz files listed for the series of printer I recently bought and have downloaded them to my computer. Then I went to the Files on the Desktop and to Downloads to find the files just downloaded...

    canon pixma ts3120 printer

The make and model of the printer I am trying to install is: Canon PIXMA TS9520 The make and model of the computer, and the OS in use, is: System76 System76 Thelio, Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS (from personal trial, this OS is very similar to Ubuntu), 64-bit.

    canon pixma ts3120 printer

    1) Sorry, but I did not see any tab or button to enter a new question. 2) The printer is a Canon PIXMA TS9520 3) The distro in use is Pop_Os! from System76. And yes, the same request has been submitted to them. 4) The last time I talked to a 'Tech Support' agent at Epson, that agent told me in...

    canon pixma ts3120 printer

Due to the fact that a prior printer (Epson) does not offer support for Linux computers and the fact that the Epson printer started to fail (it quit printing when jobs were sent to the printer), I researched available printers that do use and support Linux. This research included both web site...

Installing on laptop that has Windows 11 installed

Well, from what everyone is saying the HP laptop is rapidly becoming a 'paperweight' until some new release of Linux Ubuntu comes out that can eliminate entirely all traces of the Windows operating system. Thanks to all that have offered help here. I will keep working on this.

Installing on laptop that has Windows 11 installed

KGIII, Thank you for the tip about F9 to get to a menu to do an OEM install of Linux. It is working. This basically would be a continuation of the above question. About how long would, or should, it take to do a full install of Linux (either Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS, or Ubuntu Budgie) on an HP...

Installing on laptop that has Windows 11 installed

Thank each of you for these replies and suggestions. Here is a quick list of what steps I have taken after reading these suggestions: The DVD, and the USB stick, that I use each have Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS and that is the distribution I wanted for my wife's laptop. I inserted the DVD into the...

Installing on laptop that has Windows 11 installed

My personal computers (desktop and new laptop) both are running Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS without problem. Recently, my wife got fed up with Microsoft and their almost constant updates/upgrades to the operating system. Her computer, a HP laptop less than two years old, was (is) running Windows 10 but...

    Installing Linux on a Chromebook

This issue can be considered solved. A phone call to HP, the maker of that Chrome Book, informed me that HP does not have ANY support for Linux on any of their lower priced laptops. They do offer a line of computers and laptops that do have Linux (or Ubuntu) installed, but those are probably...

    Installing Linux on a Chromebook

I could not find GalliumOS, but was able to find a Ubuntu distro for Chrome and get that one installed. The information for that distro warns that it is not a full installation, but it is a functional version that is based on a current LTS version.

    Installing Linux on a Chromebook

That is the main problem: There is NO install page. Chrome OS seems to not allow ANY outside operating system to be seen by the main control system.

    Installing Linux on a Chromebook

I'm not sure if this is the proper place to post this question, but the question is about getting a new computer running with Linux. Background: A week or two ago, I bought a new ChromeBook laptop that was made by HP. The OS details of the laptop are: Make of laptop: Chromebook Manufacturer...

[SOLVED] Need lightweight distro suitable for old RCA tablet

What I now have in mind is to do a full factory reset of the tablet to get it back to something close to 'as new' condition, then give it (gift it) to someone else that would probably get more enjoyment out of it than I would. And this thread can be marked as solved. Thanks to all that have...

[SOLVED] Need lightweight distro suitable for old RCA tablet

To be totally honest, I do not know what the architecture of the tablet is. All that I do know is that the tablet is an RCA Voyager III that is powered by Android, or has the Android OS instead of any of the other systems. One slight problem I found with that; When I burn an ISO to the micro...

[SOLVED] Need lightweight distro suitable for old RCA tablet

Mike13, Thank you. I will give Peppermint a try. So far, the only way(s) I have found to load anything on the RCA tablet is to use either Bluetooth/WiFi or with a micro USB card. And my luck loading an ISO has been less than what would be desired.
