I have Mint with LightDM Cinnamon environment. I took a timeshift snapshot before installing safing.io postmaster. I decided I did not want it, so reversed back to the timeshift. Months later today, I try to open this .deb package and it says some type of Debian package error. So I delete...
So I got a VPN with the kill switch on and the VPN is malfunctioning and won't start. So my internet is cut off now because I can't even get to turn off the VPN kill switch.
I want to use the kill command to end this. When I do kill -l like the man page, its gobblegook
Hey so it turns out the problem was the monitor cable port. It was sending signal to a broken output with no screen, thus black screening me. Why it was able to send to all ports the Linux mint logo or mint boot log is beyond me. But the situation is resolved now.

I want to make sure I'm understanding you correctly. I'm to open up the desktop case, disconnect the hard drive and attach it to a different computer via the flat cables. And see if I can boot from there?
