I think I pulled a muscle in my foot when I was at work last night. While taking a hot bath this morning helped, I still had to limp around at work today. Thankfully, I got off of work earlier.

I don't want to upset anyone by mentioning this, but my cat Vegas died back in March, and today would've been her 16th birthday. I broke down again shortly after taking that in, but I wasn't heartbroken like I was when my family was in the process of euthanizing her.

To the tornado victims within Kentucky, Illinois (my state), Tennessee, Arkansas, and Missouri, my heart goes out to all of you. To those who are participating in disaster relief, you are examples of genuine American heroes.

Like many of you, I played with Legos as a kid, and decided to bring up LeoCAD, which is the FOSS version of Lego Digital Designer (and should be in most repositories). Although it's not as feature-rich as LDD, it's still a fun game to play if you don't have any assorted Legos on hand, or if you don't want to spend an arm and a leg.

It seems as Linux becomes more popular, sites like this one start attracting trolls and other weirdos. A common theme I've noticed with this crowd is their profiles have very little information about them, they'll often post threads about them wanting to engage in very shady behavior (or, in one case, be an attention-seeking idiot), and they're only on here for an extremely short while (often a few hours at best).

My dad never fails at showing me how much of an idiot he's become. Even though I'm more than willing to show him how to use the gps app on his phone, he's insists on using a regular gps instead. However, he was perfectly fine with my brother showing him how to use the iPhone he had years ago. There would be a lot less arguments between us if he would simply think, and stop playing favoritism.

Because the Lynx browser was made back in 1992, I decided to look up info about the 90s web, and through the EricExperiment, I found this one site called theoldnet.com (which is kind of like the wayback machine). For those of you who remember the 90s web, check it out. Just be aware some sites have broken links.

One occasionally annoying issue when using LibreWolf (and this isn't their fault) is not being able to access certain sites because they don't offer HTTPS. Even when I list the site as an exception after I click on "accept risk and continue", it still doesn't work. Because of this, I just downloaded the Lynx terminal browser, and I'm going to try it out.

I just got into argument with my dad about how I refuse to use a debit or credit card because I don't want Visa or whoever knowing my business, nor do I want a hacker accessing my bank account. Being that he's ignorant old fart who favors convenience over anything else, he acted like I'm making baseless claims about everything I said.

It turns out this waitress I've been telling you guys about is now a liar. Rather than telling me she did have a boyfriend to my face, she decides to mention it off-handedly in a phone call, and acts like it slipped her mind. While I have no problem with her dating someone else, I do have a problem with her not being completely up-front about everything she says. Now I'm keeping her at arms-length for the time being.

Some of you have been seeing my statuses about this waitress at work I'm interested in. She said she wasn't interested in dating because she's busy with school and work, so I was thinking that finding small ways to show I'm committed could make our relationship work. However, I now realize I wasn't being respectful towards her decision to not date me, and because of that, I've decided to no longer pursue her.

At work today, I told this waitress I'm interested in "Even if you and I don't end up together, I still want to do what I can to help bring out the best in you, because I see the powerful woman inside." That led to me giving her a book I've had called The Warrior Within, which is about Bruce Lee's philosophy on life. Hopefully that helps her become the best version of herself.

Because the cooks at work play music from YouTube on their phones, and I like having physical access to my music, I'm thinking of seeing if Disc Replay (an electronics thrift store for those of you who don't know) has any Walkmans available. I had to miss work this morning because nausea got the better of me. I must've had something that didn't agree with my stomach.

I recently completed my transition from T-Mobile to Verizon, and I finally upgraded my phone. Rather than going from an old school flip phone to a smartphone, I got a rugged flip phone instead. I haven't had a smartphone since my last one broke around 2018 or so, and being that I don't want or need all of these pointless apps or distractions that comes with having one, I'm happy with my new phone so far.

I'm switching from T-Mobile to Verizon, and I was attempting to contact customer service to learn if there's any costs aside from getting a new phone and activating it. For some weird reason, I can't access a chat room using LibreWolf, but it works perfectly fine when using FireFox.

While my mom's always had respiratory problems (partially due to living near the steel mills in Chicago as a child), she recently was admitted to the hospital because of how bad her chronic cough was. She thankfully came home a few minutes ago, but still had a coughing fit because of how dry the air in the hospital was.
