I appreciate the link, but its in French, and I don't speak that. I also don't have any interest in learning a new language, because it doesn't apply to my daily life.

While this is off of the point, I did try my best at learning American Sign Language a few years ago, because my friend at the time was hard of hearing, but I realized I don't have the patience to learn a new language.

Disc Replay didn't have Walkmans available (that isn't too surprising because they're a thrift store), but Target had a generic one for $18. After I get off of work tomorrow, I'll go over to Disc Replay and try out some tapes (as I'm brand new to using them).

That Walkman was a piece of crap. I put a tape in and it didn't even play it. Thankfully I got my money back.
I had to miss work this morning because nausea got the better of me. I must've had something that didn't agree with my stomach. :(

Thanks for your sympathy. I'm not in the mood for Spongebob right now, but maybe later today

I'm not vomiting anymore, and I've been sipping Mountain Dew because the syrup's supposed to help combat indigestion
I *might* go to work this afternoon (maybe around 2:30-3:00), but if they've got someone to cover for me, then I'll stay home

After texting my assistant manager about my improvements, we agreed that I would take care of going grocery shopping for my parents first, and then come into work at 6 tonight. I'll get significantly less in my next paycheck, but at least I'm making up the hours I missed.
I recently completed my transition from T-Mobile to Verizon, and I finally upgraded my phone. Rather than going from an old school flip phone to a smartphone, I got a rugged flip phone instead. I haven't had a smartphone since my last one broke around 2018 or so, and being that I don't want or need all of these pointless apps or distractions that comes with having one, I'm happy with my new phone so far.
I'm switching from T-Mobile to Verizon, and I was attempting to contact customer service to learn if there's any costs aside from getting a new phone and activating it. For some weird reason, I can't access a chat room using LibreWolf, but it works perfectly fine when using FireFox.
While my mom's always had respiratory problems (partially due to living near the steel mills in Chicago as a child), she recently was admitted to the hospital because of how bad her chronic cough was. She thankfully came home a few minutes ago, but still had a coughing fit because of how dry the air in the hospital was.
Idk how it is by you, but by me, it seems like the fear of Covid is finally out of people's heads for the most part. What's even more interesting is very few of these stores are giving anyone who's maskless a hard time (probably because the staff are no longer afraid of Covid). Because of this and other reasons, Klaus Schwab's fear of a massive revolt will soon become a reality.
It turns out that my coworkers were dressing up as the Jersey Shore to parody them, but never bothered to tell me that. Realizing I now made an arse of myself last night, I apologized for my transgressions and we're on good terms again.
Because Sunday's football day at work, we had a Halloween party tonight instead. Some of the staff decided to go as the Jersey Shore (my guess is they somehow find that filth "entertaining" from how they were talking about it), so in response to that, I repeatedly ripped on them for doing that. Granted, I did hit below the belt to an extent, so now I know where to draw a line.
Although I've been wanting to get into this for a while now (but work and other distractions keep getting in the way), I'm going to make myself draw cover art and submit it to job boards. Hopefully if I hit home runs with my clients, I'll have consistent business with them, and they'll refer me to anyone they know. (Wishful thinking) it'd be awesome if I was hired by big-name rockstars for one of their future albums.
Some of my coworkers have been trying to push me to ask this one waitress out, and I told them that I'm not interested in her because of the age difference, among other reasons. However, the more I've gotten to know her, the more I realized that I hesitated expressing my feelings for her. Although I friendzoned her, hopefully she'll understand my opinion of her has changed.

I have been a toy boy for 46 yrs, [the boss is 10 yrs older than me] age is a number on a bit of paper, understanding and maturity is the key... oh and our daughters husband is over 20 yrs older than she is, and they are happy with their lot... if you dont try you will never know.

Because the weekends have gotten busier lately, we haven't much time to have meaningful conversations like we used to. Also, because I've had a bad habit of engaging in Nice Guy Syndrome with other women in the past (I'm honest with myself to admit that), it seems as if I might've inadvertently caused her to become emotionally distant from me.

After finally telling her how I feel, it turns out why she at times seemed emotionally distant was she's been busy with work and school. Thankfully she told me that even though she's not interested in dating at the moment, she'll let me know if she changes her mind. Tbh, she should only date me if she actually wants to be with me, not because I'm available.
Because my gym shoes are starting to get beat up from work, I'm going to take myself shoe shopping on Tuesday and get a few pairs of casual shoes

Update: Because size 14 shoes (or "gunboats" as my grandmother would call them) are becoming harder to find in most shoe stores these days, I managed to find one pair at a big and tall shop. I wonder how hard it is for Bigfoot to find shoes in his size?
After watching DistroTube using Manjaro in his one video, I'm thinking about trying it out for myself to see what it's like. Wish me luck.
While I have faith in cybersecurity experts, I was thinking about how FontOnLake could be turned into ransomware in the sense of demanding control over the grid. If hackers or the elite can control that, and introduce a social credit score, they can therefore bring an uninformed and unprepared population to their knees. While I'm not crapping my pants in fear over that, it's still a realistic possibility.
To make myself not become a victim of this FontOnLake Linux malware in the coming times, I've decided to gradually start living an off-grid lifestyle, because it forced me to realize that centralized infrastructures can fail in situations like these. I've been spending a portion of the day looking into how to do that, and some of it sounds feasible so far, but there's a lot I'll need to learn.
Even though I've gotten comfortable with using SMTube to watch YouTube videos, I've been thinking about watching more videos on Odysee so I don't have to deal with YouTube's BS algorithm
With Halloween being a month away, I was talking with my neighbor across from me about going to their house and watching Young Frankenstein (I know, I know, Fronk-en-steen)

We don't recognise or celebrate Halloween its just a commercial con. My family celebrate Samhain and its ancient traditions, as we are all followers of the old ways.

I've come to see all holidays that way. However, I don't mind getting together with family and friends whenever a holiday rolls around again.
So because I ate small amount of fruit before taking my dad to the doctor this morning, Burger King decides to give me the finger by telling me that they stop serving breakfast around 11am. In other words, I can only have breakfast when THEY say I can. "Have it your way!" my anus!
My friend became an orphan after his mom died back in January, and now his grandma died. One option he has is to get a job where I'm at (because he's been unemployed for a few years), have his house's landlord pair him up with two roommates, and split the costs with them. Another option would be to move in with his uncle who lives out of state. I'm hoping the former works out because he's like a brother to me.
I worked HARD again tonight. When I saw the assistant manager earlier this afternoon, he told me that the manager was nice enough to give me a bonus because he's been hearing how great I'm doing, so I ended up getting $590 as opposed to the $400-something I would've gotten originally. Also, an elderly couple who comes there regularly gave me a fish toy for my cat to play with, all because I told them about her.
After having a conversation with the assistant manager this morning, it turns out I was dead wrong about the head manager. I kept thinking the head manager was blowing me off and making excuses when it came to getting my paper work printed. It turns out he has deadlines with his construction project due to permits. Thankfully, after I apologized to him, it's all water under the bridge now.
