Hi I'm new to this world of linux sort of as I've been dabbling in dreamboxes and sat boxes in the past. But this is opening up a new world to me now. And I'm an .

I'm already on to that have tried some.
I see in another thread you are already running MX Linux.
MX Linux ran great for me but I switched to Manjaro 20 Gnome.

Virtualbox/Gnome Boxes is your best friend at this point in your new Linux Journey. That way you can check out different Distros without having to install them on your computer or boot to them from a usb drive. I wish I'd have known about/used them when I first started out. It would have saved me a lot of install time. Anyway, welcome.

That's how I first started out on virtual machine, but problem with virtual is it doesn't show you that there is no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth in actual live build. That too I learned the hard way after installing.

The newer kernels have pretty much solved the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth problems. It's been a couple three years since I've had to do anything to get them working in the majority of mainstream Distros.

:p G'day Crow (well, you've got to expect that?)

Crow is from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Melbourne is huge on culture and the Arts, delicious multicultural cuisine, and of course, sport - but has crap weather (4 Seasons in One Day, as Crowded House sang)

Being a fellow Aussie, I'll ping @Condobloke , @gvisoc , and also friend (Kiwi) @darry1966 to swing by and say Hi too.

Stay safe and enjoy your Linux

Welcome aboard, enjoy the journey and the free beer - ummmm ok there is no free beer but the people of this community more than make up for that. No doubt you'll have questions to ask regarding Linux or apps or questions regarding your machine - we are here to help or point you in the right direction......
