[CLOSED] Problem with ram

The Kingston RAM stick has 1.35V on it's label, which is normally considered "low voltage" when 1.5V is standard. The others appear to be standard voltage.

well if they both work independently in slot 1, but not in slot 2 it sounds like you may have a problem with slot 2

si pongo cualquiera no importa en que slot funciona. Solo dejan de andar si pongo dos a la vez

if I put any it doesn't matter in which slot it works. They only stop working if I put two on at the same time
It sounds like your computer would prefer two matched sticks, unlike what has been shown that you have.

I have a problem, I tried 3 modules separately, two of 4gb and one of 2gb, I put them first in one slot and then in the other and they work perfectly, but when I put 2 at the same time either one of 4gb and the one of 2gb or the two of 4gb the computer does not turn on, the boot passes but when trying to run the operating system it does not start, in case you know something about linux I have ubuntu server and it gives me the error "end kernel panic code: 0x00000009"

My laptop is a G42-362LA
Cpu: Intel I3 M370
I've had the same problem with mismatched ram. Mine was an older Dell i3 so I believe the other fellas are spot on with their responses. My other Dell has mismatched RAM as well but the same brand.

Well, I guess that's it, I'll mark the thread as closed, thanks for your suggestions.
