My mother has a Samsung A30 and got a security update October 2019 and nothing after that.

It runs on Android 9 and I have read about updates for that OS in January and February 2020.

It just shows me "your phone is up to date."

What can I do to find out whats wrong?

It's been my experience, everything doesn't always get unlimited updates.

Sometimes it's the manufacturer, sometimes it's the carrier, usually it's a combination of both.
But just because an update exists, doesn't mean your carrier supports it.

AT&T and Tmobile might support it, but Sprint and Verizon might not support it.

What a shock! I was looking forward to getting Android 10 in May!
