Which high-level language should I choose for server-side systems programming?

Java easy to learn ? Java Server pages were ok and i even got into servlets, then java something faces came out. Documentation at the time wasn't geared with any empathy as far as I could see. You had to install Tomcat another learning curve; so it all seemed elitist to me with my limited...

[SOLVED] Issuing a GPG key with kleopatra is returning a general error

I don't think this is going to help but a mention on keys for others . I have had a couple of gpg issues with pacman from official repositories and noted in: /etc/pacman.conf : # NOTE: You must run `pacman-key --init` before first using pacman; the local # keyring can then be populated with...

Truth about Rasberry PI 4 is it's straight garbage

the thing is the raspberryPi was a bit of clever marketing hype and became a fashion. It was purported to be good for education and cheap. Well that depends; from the context of use in the 3rd world neither were true. First what does the Reaspberry Pi have that an old Pentium IV doesn't ...

Installing Programs to a Different Disk

yeah you can do that ; basically you choose the drive you want to install to ; some auto install might (probably ) pick up the other drive and ask and ask if you want to have it mounted. You can manually use one drive as your /home But putting it in a simple context , I have an SSD...

yep thats right , you can't run on a mounted drive; in days gone by you could do it with Slackware by dropping run levels and one or 2 other commands that I have forgotten

Can't get past a black screen with underscore, Linux mint

Nothing unusual for the fsck image . You can't or shouldn't run fsck on a mounted drive ; i.e a running fsck from the same running OS . when i was using Slackware I found i could do it by dropping run levels but the other way is to boot a live OS from say a usb and run fsck on the blocks...
