GDB Error trying to run Adobe Reader opening a PDF file

This seems to have nothing to do with Linux. I fear that you have posted to the wrong forum. You would be better to go to a Windows forum.

Linux on external SSD or HHD

@avinashkumarhpp The purpose of forums is for people to tell many people their problem, and for some of those people to give their solution. Other people who have the same problem can see how they can deal with it too. We don't want people to go off in comers and solve problems in secret. That...

    canon pixma ts3120 printer

@Jim43 1) Please don't add your problem to the end of somebody else's thread. Start your own thread instead. 2) What is the model of Canon printer? 3) What distro are you using? 4) Quite often when somebody says they do no support Linux, it does not necessarily mean their product does not work...

I don't understand why debian by default needs you to add yourself to /etc/sudoers to do anything worthwhile

If there is no person named in the sudo list use AS ROOT apt-get install sudo usermod -a -G sudo <username> Replace <username> with the username to which you want to grant sudo access. Now logout & login to get sudo access. If there is a person named in the sudo list then use the command...

I don't understand why debian by default needs you to add yourself to /etc/sudoers to do anything worthwhile

LOL! If you set a Root password during the install of Debian that is exactly what you get - a Root (with a) password. If you DON'T set a Root password during the install (If you leave it blank.) the named user/installer gets sudo rights. The person installing can use sudo.

I still need URIs despite the fact that my source list seems to have the correct repositories

You don't have deb-src available. When a # is put at the beginning of the line, it does not work. (Like in Windows when something is "remed" out.) You need to edit your sources list and remove the # in the deb-src lines reboot

Unable to boot Kali after installation and missing firmware

Missing firmware is normally associated with (1) Wi-Fi and (2) Video. But you have no added graphics card, so it should not be that. Missing Wi-Fi would not account for Booting to BIOS. (You might have told us exactly what the texts ending with extension ".ucode" were.) Presumably you have...
