I don't use Linux exclusively. Our main PC runs Windows 10 Pro. On June 7 I installed Linux Mint on an older Windows 7 PC after wiping the HD and installed Windows 10 Home and Microsoft 365 in a VM on that machine.

I'm running Linux Mint (Cinnamon) and in Software Manger, both installed and uninstalled programs are listed. The difference is if you click on an installed program, it gives you the option to launch or remove instead of download and install. Have you tried launching through Software Manager...
My PC has NUMLOCK enabled in the BIOS. It comes on during the boot sequence and worked fine when this PC was running Windows 7 in a prior life, but then I found that Linux turns it off. I had to download and install a utility (numlockx) to have NUMLOCK enabled at the end of the boot sequence. I...
