Which Linux firewall do you use?

That looks very similar to "Zone Alarm" for windows back in the old days. Going to give that a try.

Which Linux firewall do you use?

After changing or adding a rule "sudo ufw reload" does the same thing. The command "sudo ufw status verbose" will let you see he changes made. Will look into firewall -cmd though. For the sake of trying new things since that is what the freedom of Linux is all about.

    Not so general KVM/Qemu question.

Hi all. I am an avid virtual machine user and KVM is my weapon of choice. But I was just thinking. My Lenovo workstation is quite good at running VM's but the internal storage is quite small. I'd like to ask you guys: Is there a way to store all the data the VM needs to run/start up on an...

SOLVED: UBUNTU 24.04 LTS Installation Problem...

It's probably some glitch somewhere regarding that installer. I mean I've installed numerous Ubuntu on a large range of hardware never had an issue. Not just Ubuntu itself but also it's derivatives. But yeah, for now just don't "upgrade the installer" while actually installing the distro...

help me choose a distro for my old computer

Perhaps Damn Small Linux might be helpful. Saved my old Thinkpad T42. :) And Puppy Linux of course. Both of these aren't really entry level distros but certainly worthy to keep in mind if anything else fails.

Anyone switching back to Windows 11 for this awesome "feature"?

Yeah, that's pretty bad. What's even worse is that 1) most users don't care and 2) the other users probably don't even know. But yeah, this video is getting pretty "viral" (get it? :P )

    anonsurf-5-0-beta

I noticed. I've recently installed Parrot on a laptop that was gathering dust and that Anonsurf upgrade is awesome! Has been about a year and a half since I've last used Parrot and I have to say........it's gotten better. Man I remember the days of yore when Parrot was just a chick and...

    Solved Backlight MacBook Air?

Hey guys and gals. On my MBA I have Mint installed for occasional use only. Now that the days are getting shorter I sort of miss the backlight on my keyboard. Is there some package available to install in Mint so it would work again? Thanks in advance. EDIT: Never mind, solved. All I had to...

Linux will run out of memory after a few days running?

Just installed this in FF on one of my (many) Puppy VMs and for that purpose this is really useful and increases the functionality of said VMs. It does the job really well in saving (freeing) RAM so there are enough resources left to do other things without having to close browser tabs and...
