Loki vs Elasticsearch for log monitoring

Hi there! [Astra Linux, Debian-like] "db_root: cannot open: /etc/target" on booting and cannot log in then

If anyone still wonder, cloud-init lock_passwd option was blocking password authentication on that user. Just mount root partition disk to running system and edit cloud-init config UPD: Or maybe you should use integrity level 63

Unit partitions in SAN using LVM to use it over iSCSI

I have to deploy service using disk over iSCSI. Now I need about 512 GB and I will make partition in SAN and one more for another purpose. But later I'll need more space and I'll have to move partitions next to my 512 GB partition. So, I probably should use LVM to make one 512 GB partition now...

[Astra Linux, Debian-like] "db_root: cannot open: /etc/target" on booting and cannot log in then

I can't use passwd or login even from chroot on any Live system (Ubuntu, MX, Astra) because of "System error" so I don't think that problem is in security stuff.

[Astra Linux, Debian-like] "db_root: cannot open: /etc/target" on booting and cannot log in then

Ok, I've just figured out that "db_root: cannot open: /etc/target" is not a problem, but how can I understand why can't I both log in and change password using passwd?

That laptop I've shown has no discrete GPU, integrated only. Is it bad?

Is ExpertBook B2502C with Linux good for DevOps?

I mean the compiling will probably be on cloud or a remote server, not on the laptop.

Is ExpertBook B2502C with Linux good for DevOps?

I suppose that I wouldn't compile my code, IDEs (VSCode or IntelliJ) and web browser would consume resources. Programming languages are probably Python, Go or Java/Kotlin.

Lenovo Thinkpad P15V running hot without high CPU usage

Recently got my new Thinkpad P15v Gen 3 with Intel Core i7-12700H. Installed Debian with Cinnamon on it. CPU's consumption isn't too high, but I can hear that cooler is working.
