Problems installing Ubuntu on Lenovo Ideapad 5

Did you check the integrity of the .iso file? What program did you use to make the usb bootable? In your BIOS under the 'Security' section 'Secure Boot Mode' is set to Custom. What are the other options for Secure Boot Mode? --:::--Maybe try disabling that and see if Ubuntu will...

    Semi-New to Linux

When I was running MX Linux is was incredibly light and fast! You can expect that with the XFCE desktop-:) Compared to other distro's the updates didn't take up as much disk space.

    Semi-New to Linux

I had to build a new rig out of necessity. My old desktop had reached the 10 year old mark and was starting to move slow. The only real issue I had during the build was the cooling fan that came with my AMD Ryzen 5 was really difficult to line up the screws on the mobo. Every time I lined them...

    Semi-New to Linux

Hi: & Welcome to Linux.org!:) I'm running Manjaro Gnome, Debian, and Linux Mint on my custom built rig and they all run great! Since you're new to Linux I recommend Linux Mint. It's easy to install and the package manager is friendly so updates are easily handled for you.

    Overclocking NVIDIA 3080 graphics cards

Here's a video on how to overclock your nVidia gpu on Linux. What CPU do you have? There's something called P95 but I don't know if it works. https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/58911/overclocking-tools-in-linux I found this link about Hive OS. I'm not familiar with it. Maybe other...

Help installing Linux on an old ASUS E200H (possible/reliable?)

Did you check the integrity of the .iso file? Did you start the installer once the os booted to the desktop of Mint? During the installtion the partition manager (usually gparted) should show the HDD in the upper right hand corner.

Debian 10.7.0 live nonfree installer - Fail to create partition - Mobile broadband access and some other things

The "Install" or "ReadMe" file should tell you how to get that installed. BTW, installing tar.bz via commandline is not my specialty with Linux. You could if you have difficulty trying to install from the ReadMe file; purchase a usb wifi dongle and try to connect that way. TP-Link as far as I...

    Ubuntu on NVME?

No, when I installed the nvme I didn't have Linux installed on one of my other drives. First after building my rig I booted it up, disabled the secure boot in the BIOS saved the changes and rebooted. Than installed Linux Mint to the nvme. Hope the Raid links help and yeah, Happy New Year!

Debian 10.7.0 live nonfree installer - Fail to create partition - Mobile broadband access and some other things

The best thing you can do is download the Debian 10 .iso with the non-free firmware already included. https://cdimage.debian.org/images/unofficial/non-free/images-including-firmware/current-live/amd64/iso-hybrid/
