    Linux: Scaled vs Native Resolution?

Get a native 2k then. At least in Windows the text is very clear even when scaled and in Linux, it's quite clear when using KDE Plasma to scale at any scale factor

    Linux: Scaled vs Native Resolution?

At least on my LG 4K monitor, yes. Also, I compared a 4k 200% vs 2k 125% of the same KDE setup. Result was 2k 125% looks clear by it self but when put side by side with the 4K 200%, it was blown out of the water.

    Linux: Scaled vs Native Resolution?

150 will look fuzzy in Linux. Just different level of fuzzinesss in KDE gnome and xfce. It is least fuzzy to me in KDE. 100 200 will be very clear regardless of KDE Gnome or xfce

    Getting started with Linux Arch

https://endeavouros.com/ is similar too. Was really simple to use. It's basically helps you to preselect bootloaders, network managers and give you a desktop environment that's clean. but ... I prefer to try the arch way. The plethora of choices when installing arch is just bewildering. from...

    Getting started with Linux Arch

Try it in a vm first. It's easier to trial and error on a vm. Just be wary of the installation guide. E.g. There was no mention of pacman -S dhcpcd (buried deep inside the network pages) which will cause your installation have no ip address upon bootup. Without it, you either have to go static...

didn't know this exist. As aur is compiled. I'm just wondering if yay and buildaur cleanly remove the package if we decide to. Or is that more dependent on the aur build scripts?

    Getting started with Linux Arch

I just installed arch on a kvm VM. I've xorg and plasma running. Will have to spend more time playing with it. Even konsole and nano had to be installed separately. :)

    Linux: Scaled vs Native Resolution?

You can always buy a 4k and scale 150. Stick to KDE plasma. Though you can try out Gnome and xfce to verify if they don't scale as well as plasma. Whether to buy 2k or 4k depends if you game. If you use 4k you need a very powerful graphics card to drive it.

    What Email Do You Use?

If it's email provider, that's a tough one. Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo are the obvious ones but if you are privacy conscious, they aren't suitable. Protonmail seems to be the best of the lot if you need free.I'd like to know which free ones are good too. Tutanota is not suitable because the free...

    Linux: Scaled vs Native Resolution?

I have a 2K and 4K monitor. Have a 1080p elsewhere too. If you want to use Linux, scaling in multiples of 100% will yield you the crispest text. e.g. Scaling 200% on a 4K to have text as big as it was on 1080p. If you must buy a 2K monitor, either run it without scaling or if you have to scale...

    Getting started on linux path...

Before we recommend you any distro, what do you intend to use your machine for? Some are already set up for a certain purpose, e.g. Fedora is out of the box set up for development and virtualization.

If it flickers even at the bootup logo of laptop or bios, your lcd panel or graphics card chip is a goner. Else find a Linux live usb and test if it boots.

Scared about how Windows games will run using Lutris.

I tried it for a month. There are some windows games that will not run on Linux at all. You'll need to dual boot or use kvm with pcie passthrough or VMware (descending performance although kvm with pcie passthrough is almost as good as dual boot)
