Well, I have thoroughly read the documentation on firewalld and am more confused than ever. I want to uninstall it and try GUFW, which I have installed. How in the world do I uninstall firewalld? I entered in the first command: and this is what I got: Now what? What am I missing?

Timeshift did the job. Once back up, I created a snapshot and installed the updates minus the kernel. Rebooted. And then installed the suspected kernel. Everything is just fine.
