Sudo/root permissions not being accepted for access to /usr/local/share/tor-browser

And you can: Download, extract, cd into the newly created directory, and run: ./start-tor-browser.desktop --register-app

Sudo/root permissions not being accepted for access to /usr/local/share/tor-browser

Yes, I think you are. You either misread or got confused. I read that twice trying to find any reference to any of the things you've done and couldn't find any. By the way, in post #6 you posted a screenshot that seems to indicate that you're using KDE Plasma? If so, this can be a lot easier.

Sudo/root permissions not being accepted for access to /usr/local/share/tor-browser

Here https://www.golinuxcloud.com/install-tor-browser-on-rocky-linux/ clearly says that you don't need to be root to do that, just cd into the tor-browser dir (the one that got created after extracting the .tar file you downloaded) and run ./start-tor-browser.desktop --register-app and according...

As a Linux beginner, I would like to learn how to write my own code.

Since you're not being specific on what programming language or languages, as a general advice I'd recommend checking some sites, have a look, try some of the stuff you might feel/be interested in, for example: https://www.codecademy.com/ https://www.freecodecamp.org/...

Sudo/root permissions not being accepted for access to /usr/local/share/tor-browser

If you just want to run tor-browser, place it on /opt directory or on /usr/local/bin. And stop messing around with sudo or root. There's no need at all to do any of the things you're doing.

Trying to install Linux on a new SSD (Solved)

In one of your screenshots I did notice you formated to exfat, but thought you'd let the installer format to ext4, which is the default for most distros, so I guess you didn't, and instead chose not to format and use the exfat, which wouldn't work. For future reference, just let the installer do...

Using The dd Command For A Linux .iso

Which one? This one? https://github.com/dolphinoracle/lum-qt-appimage/releases Also, make sure that image mode is selected and not full-feature mode, as that one will only work with MX or Antix.

Trying to install Linux on a new SSD (Solved)

This is still a lot of time, for a distro like Mint. Maybe, try "unchecking" the "download updates" at the install, and update the system once is installed. Please, try and find the exact model dell computer it is as well as the motherboard, that might help narrow the probable cause down.

Trying to install Linux on a new SSD (Solved)

What are the specs of this pc? Make and model? Maybe need to re-create the live USB?

Using The dd Command For A Linux .iso

That dd scares me haha so I always try to use a GUI, currently use MX-live-USB-maker which is an AppImage, pretty easy to use and works like a charm. I also like ventoy. And in windows, Rufus is the way to go.

First, delete the existing partitions, then create a new one (whole disk) and format.

    Solved Don't work Live USB

Don't know. But I just googled "disabled HDD boot in Bios/UEFI Lenovo X121e with AMD E-450" and nothing came, so maybe you didn't really? Is there a "disable internal HDD" option in BIOS? I've never seen any.

    Solved Don't work Live USB

Well, I have never owned or had access to one of those laptops, but you can google the model, something like "remove internal disk from Lenovo X121e with AMD E-450" and you should get some results on how to. In fact, I just did...

    Solved Don't work Live USB

Oh, ok. But, yeah, the laptop sees the internal disk as a USB and for some reason selects that one instead of the flash drive.
