Thanks guys, I actually didn't have too much of a problem figuring it out @atanere, the wizards instructions were quite easy to follow.

All of the above is correct. I know the lappie is able to connect to wifi, but if I have to I should be able to just connect it with an ethernet cable. I actually wound up having to move so I'm using a different computer for this, which is why this all took me so long lol.

I've finally been able to get everything together, everything look how you described. i got etcher. I'm ready to move to the next step.
