    Thanks for letting me know its the netowrk manager. The network-manager installed was 1.6.2-3. And what I ended up doing was installing the wicd package and removing network-manager. I can now connect to all networks fine via wicd.

    So just a small update. It is definitely something to do with Debian 10. because I downloaded and installed Debian 9.11 and it works fine but when I upgrade from 9.11 to 10 I lose connection and Cannot connect anymore.
