I don't know how to do that. It would be nice to have it working right. I assume at this point it's a one way street with the printer. Computer commands work but anything coming from the other direction wont, like scans.

I found a solution. It occurred to me that I had some input ports on the computer tower hidden under a door, which I never used before. Anyway, it works fine from there, so I'm good on this. TA DA

Yes, many thanks. Part of my confusion was how to use code commands in the terminal, code commands period is not something I've seen before or at least had to use. The above instructions said to enter CTRL-ALT-T to bring up a terminal, what about the terminal that's already there in my task...
