How to Autofill activation Linux Mint Vera 21.1

Thanks, Everyone Lord Boltar, I did what you said, box was already checked for autofill, but it gave me the option to add addresses, I added mine. It seems to work on a test, it worked, but I get a prompt to click on my autofill entered address to put it in. I'll assume that is how firefox...

Connecting HP printer in 21.1 Vera Mate

I hope they are not so strict here that we can't intermingle our interests in other things that are related to getting our computers functioning properly. Yes, that's a Kindig drawing that I took a picture of with my digital camera from the flatscreen TV. That's my desktop photo. This cannot be...

Connecting HP printer in 21.1 Vera Mate

I don't know how to do that. It would be nice to have it working right. I assume at this point it's a one way street with the printer. Computer commands work but anything coming from the other direction wont, like scans.

Connecting HP printer in 21.1 Vera Mate

I found a solution. It occurred to me that I had some input ports on the computer tower hidden under a door, which I never used before. Anyway, it works fine from there, so I'm good on this. TA DA

Connecting HP printer in 21.1 Vera Mate

I was able to connect my HP Envy 5660 all in one printer to function for printing tasks, works fine, but I can't get the SD card scanning function to transfer images from the printer to the computer. What I have tried was using the HP site and then downloaded this (HP Developers Portal (hp.io)...

How to download DVD backup files into the new 21.1 Vera OS ?

Luckily I have most of my photos on old back up discs. I downloaded these minutes ago and I now see how it's supposed to work. Gotta say, I'm very impressed with Vera, I'm having none of the problems I had with the 19.1 installation, or whatever it was. I got careless with my last file backups...

How to download DVD backup files into the new 21.1 Vera OS ?

I never heard of it. For whatever it's worth, I just downloaded on the old OS, Linux Brasero to burn DVD's to do all of this. To perform the successful installation of Vera. So that DVD came out fine obviously. It's a Brasero thing, don't know?

How to download DVD backup files into the new 21.1 Vera OS ?

Installed 21.1 Vera Mate OS to replace the soon to be unsupported previous LM OS, everything is working great. I did not opt to keep both OS's going side by side, everything previous is gone. Burned a couple of DVD's to transfer files into Vera after the upgrade. This is as far as I can get on...

Installing DVD back up from the old Linux OS onto the new Vera 21.1

Hi I made a DVD file back up, mostly photos, from the old Linux OS to install on the new Vera 21.1. I down loading it and I think it's there complete in my pictures folder as a BRF file. Problem is I can't open it and install it as a working data base with my feeble attempts. BTW, I did...

Time to install a new OS?

My Linux OS was said to be supported until sometime in 2023. My desk top is freezing more and more as time goes by. I figure the OS needs to be cleaned out, ie replaced to regain good function. BTW, it's been a good run with Linux since I dumped Windows 7 so thank you! A link to what I should...

Backed up photo files from previous OS installation problems

Yes, many thanks. Part of my confusion was how to use code commands in the terminal, code commands period is not something I've seen before or at least had to use. The above instructions said to enter CTRL-ALT-T to bring up a terminal, what about the terminal that's already there in my task...

Backed up photo files from previous OS installation problems

First, thanks for the help. Second, the above must have worked because I do now have access to my old picture library, just not the way I expected, which I guess I should expect with a different OS. Anyway it works and that's what matters. Here's proof, easy access upload from that file
