New Lenovo laptop Windows 11 hardware raid 1 configuration. Want to install Ubuntu 24.04 desktop in a separate partition to create a dual boot setup. Decreased partition size of C: with Windows and creating 250 GB free space. Try to install Ubuntu and it won't see that free space. Option showing for where to install is "null". Please help

Welcome
1] disable windows quick-start
now when yo insert the bootable ISO do you get trial mode? if yes, have you tested everything works [sound/graphics/camera &, etc]
as you tried to install you come to the partitioning bit to select where you install your chosen distribution, there is a drop down box [currently showing your windows partition] click on the box and it should list all other drives and partitions, select the one you have made available and then enter

It's been my experience that Ubuntu doesn't have hw RAID drivers installed by default. It sounds like you have LiveUSB.
If you go into the command line, what is the output of ...
Code:
sudo fdisk -l

when I click on that drop down box for partitions it just says null? does it recognize the 2 disk raid volume as a partition?
