Hello guys,

I want to switch from Windows 7 to Linux Manjaro. I attempted to do this once but I ended up with all my files lost (young and restless). This was because Linux Mint didn't recognise my network card so I panicked and reinstalled Windows. So, my question is... do I need to change my Network Card?

L.E.: Oh, also... if I am here already... will my external NTFS HDD Seagate Expansion Drive be recognised?

Really depends on what your network card's chipset is. Figure that out, and we can tell you (or you can check the linux wireless page: http://wireless.kernel.org/).

Some manufacturers do a better job on support than others.

So.. after downloading HWiNFO (because I couldn't figure out what I had to do on that site your gave me) here is what I found:

Network Card: Sundance Technology/IC Plus IP100A Integrated 10/100 Ethernet MAC+PHY
Driver Version: 5.1.7.928
Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_13F0&DEV_0200&SUBSYS_82131043&REV_31
DeviceInstanceId PCI\VEN_13F0&DEV_0200&SUBSYS_82131043&REV_31\4&1687D01D&0&08F0

If this is too much of a hassle will TP-LINK TF-3200 work straight-up without any tweaking? Or... another card recommandation?
