Any ideas about how I can be sure which files need to be altered?
If you might be able to help but require more information just let me know. I have data sheets for both codecs and board specific information on hand. I also have circuit diagrams for how the CODECS are hooked up (old and new). I am not sure if it is relevant but on the new and old hardware the CODEC is driving an amplifier which is then driving a speaker.
EDIT: Is the platform driver actually a multitude of different drivers?
