I installed Linux mint just recently and after the prompt which said remove installation device and hit enter to continue I did that and this happened, and after this I tried getting into my bios by spam clicking f2 and it’s just grey and stays grey until is switch my laptop off

G'day Jovindhar, Welcome to Linux.org

Try hitting the esc or del key

once in bios you need to disable Secure boot....and fast boot as well.

I tried both and del key didn’t work, esc key just left it in this screen

What brand and model is this device?
The brand is obviously Asus....what is the model...it will be a number with letters....

look here.....this will explain what I mean

from this video, it appears the F2 key was correct....at least for this particular model

The f2 key is the correct key cause I’ve loaded into the bios before but now it’s just black screens everytime I press it to get to the bios, I saw somewhere that it might be cause the display resolution isn’t supported or something like that, but I need to have a look into it

display resolution should not affect it...I dont think

Have you shut the pc down and started tapping the F2 as you hit the 'turn on' button ?

if it was a desktop I'd say try to short the pins with a screwdriver (though some motherboards have a bios reset switch) - but on a laptop without being able to access the bios? hmm... did you already try to, while the laptop is not connected to external power, press and hold the power button down for ~30 seconds?

I just tried this, after holding it down, it turns on and immediately turns off without anything posting, should I try turn it back on and get into the bios?

I can only force shut it down cause of the other issue that I took a screenshot of, but I tried this as well and it’s just showing a grey screen

Different machines, different timing,
1.switch on machine
2 press and hold power button down for 60 seconds,
3 release,
4 switch on whilst jiggling boot key [ACER OLD models del key, NEWER models F2 key [you should get a beep and the bios/UEFI screen come up after a few seconds]
Irrespective of which OS you have or indeed if you do not have any, the BIOS should open,

Did you disable windows fast boot and not essential but preferable secure boot, before installing your Linux distribution? did you remove the installation medium [pen-drive] after installing and re-starting the machine?

I don’t think I did, because I needed secure boot to run vanguard anti cheat. Yea I removed the installation medium when the prompt came and as soon as I removed the drive this came up

\ok so MOKL is a manufacturer's key which is a [Windows thing] and is part of the secure boot , in Linux it is usually taken care of by an app shimx64.efi which normally should be a part of the installation process.

So humour me, turn off fast boot and try to boot your Linux, if it works then we will know that is the problem, if it doesn't work, then my suggestion is you download the ISO again and make a new bootable Pen drive [with a good quality clean drive formatted fats] and try again

if you can get Linux working as you would hope then there are ways of turning on fast boot and adding shimx64.efi if its still missing [but I have never had this problem so its not something I can comfortably give solid help with]

@Alexzee , @wizardfromoz ,@f33dm3bits , @dos2unix any further thought boys?

The problem isn’t turning off secure boot and fast boot, the problem is getting into the bios. Cause I’ve tried every key, I searched up my specific laptop model and I was told f2 is the one, but when I spam click it after turning my pc on it just goes grey and nothing happens at all, if I spam press esc it stays in the screen saying Asus and just stays there as well.

Turn off the computer.

Press F2 and hold it.

Press the power button.
