Hey Guys,
I know very little about linux.
Computer Type: Dell Mobile Precision 7740
Processor: i7-9750H, 6 Core, 12M Cache,
Graphics Card: Nvidia Quadro RTX 3000 w/6GB
Ram: 16GB, 2X8G, DDR4 2666MHz Non-ECC
Hard Drive: 256GB PCIe NVMe Class 40 Solid State Drive
Bios Settings: UEFI is on, secureboot is off
i get to the screen where it has the boot options for linux mint. i can choose linux mint or linux compatibility mode. Either option just goes to a black screen.
i tried adding nomodeset to the options, it didnt seem to do anything, but i am not 100% sure i did it right. i dont know that theres a way to disable uefi on my machine, i poked around in the bios settings but couldnt find one.
thanks for any help
