I'm using Linux Mint 22.x.xx Would like to switch out the installed Firefox to a different browser. I don't need a built in VPN, nor password keeper, and other such side-pieces.
Brave and Vivaldi are not a consideration as they seem to get bigger and bigger and more complex for seemingly little gain. Dumped them awhile back
I would like to stick with a FlatPac installation
I have read the thread here -> https://linux.org/threads/midori-browser.54418/ and found it very interesting. A consideration. Very interesting comments especilly by @ponchale regarding telemetry
LibreWolf, seems simply basic - a good thing. Any comments from experiences.
While changing my browser I am considering StartPage and/or Qwant as search engines. I have used them with varing results. StartPage is fast with what seems a quantity of "finds" but just wondering what it is "costing" me in privacy. Qwant provides far less results also slow doing it but am I safer? The speed of the answer is not as importanf as safety.
Thank you
