Hello everyone,

I just set up a Debian 11 with SSH, Transmission, miniDLNA and Samba to achieve the following goals:
1. Transmission downloads the media files;
2. miniDLNA streams the content to TVs on the same local network
3. I manage the media files from my Windows 11 PC.

Transmission target directory, miniDLNA streaming directory and Samba share is the same directory.
The directories and files there have 'debian-transmission' as an owner and 0755 attributes.
My local network does not have a domain.
My Windows 11 PC has 'WORKGROUP' workgroup.

Everything works except (3). I can browse the shared directory and read the files, but I am not able to write to the samba share or delete files from it.

Please advise me on what I should check. I will be happy to provide additional info on the current settings in the system.

Thank you in advance.

Resolved.
You can mark the thread "Solved", which helps.

It would be nice to see a description of what you learned that solved the problem, so that others who search from the internet can find it and learn from you. Something more than "Resolved."

It would be nice to see a description of what you learned that solved the problem...

That would be good if you can do that.
