Cant install Zorin 16 Lite

I want to install Zorin Lite 16 from a thumb drive to my Toshiba Lap top but this keeps coming up every time

I used a program called RUFUS I have tried to load other distros and have the same problem

I am brand new to Linux and really want to get away from Windows if I can ever get a Linux OS on this laptop

Try it again - but use Balena Etcher.

It probably didn't mess it up - it just made it so that you'd have to reformat it from a Linux computer because it's formatted with exFAT. The USB is likely still just fine. This is a known trait of Etcher.

Maybe try legacy no secure boot?

You have Secure Boot on - as far as I know only Ubuntu can handle Secure Boot because it is licensed by Microsoft for that function you should disable Secure Boot in the BIOS

I have disabled and enabled secure boot.no luck either way. I even tried to install Mint I got as far as it asking me to choose how I wanted to start. once I chose Mint that's when this popped up on the screen.

After searching the internet for others who have had the same problem, it looks like it could be a BIOS problem. Anyone who can help I would really appreciate it.

Hmm... Spitballing - but is there a BIOS update available?

Yep seems like a BIOS issue - the only thing I can suggest is to make sure you have the latest BIOS - also check to see if you can change it to Legacy mode from UEFI and try to install in Legacy Mode and see if Linux installs that way

3, computer fault
4, not so common damaged / poor quality pen drive
