Greetings "My 22"

It is 4:30 AM Christmas Eve here in the USA-SW.

On Oct 12, 2024 I did two things.
  1. Commited to a goal of using Linux as my Daily OS by Christmas 2024. It was to be a present to my wife and myself. Said another way... discontinue using Microsoft products after a career of being a Microsoft IT Support person since DOS 1.0
  2. Register in Linux.org - My third forum - EVER Also, I requested to be removed from #2, and not sure what #1 was, it was that far back.
Well it's 4:30am Christmas Eve and I am not going to make it. 95.5% is not 100% - BUT the goal remains the same, the plan modified. ie: timing. - complete the goal before New Years or at least by Jan 2, 2025 - after football.

All that blather to say... I am so blessed, grateful, and just plain happy "meeting" you and for the help, support, encouragement and firmness you have offered over the past few months. Your professional approach, patience and friendliness is absoultly outstanding.

Many answers to my Newbie questions I had no idea what you were talking about. Today, in a very short time, looking back through the conversations, I realized the knowledge, experience, and friendly coaching you offered. Today, because of your willingness to share, I understand and value your answers.

I remain grateful. Thank you - and have a blessed time of the year with those you love and that love you.

You may not have made your desired goal but What the Hell you're running Linux now and that's good enough.

Have a couple of these you made it. Merry Christmas!

Enjoy the holidays!

Happy holidays and heck, 95% is pretty darn good, few people get that far with their goals before pushing the goalposts to next month, next year, when I'm in a better headspace... So even if you never make the last 5% stretch you're ahead by a long shot!
