I believe Debian has a software repository

Why not use that. it i protected by Debian

or...Github. it is usually a good source...it has a .deb file there as well./

AT least itfoss tells you...L: Interestingly, the changelog for this release says, “Rolling releases”, which means that this is still not a new stable release; however, it is not a preview release either and features some important fixes.

personally I would download from the software manager

and with that, I would suggest having a current Timeshift snapshot taken and available before you install foreign software.

Otherwise you may end up with what is known as a Frankendeb.

I didn't know it had gone away...been in Mint's Software Manager forever.
