Hello guys!!!

I just download and config conky. Everything went perfect but I would like conky to start up during booting.
The only way I found in web is throw GUI, add conky at start up apps.
I did it and conky appears for some seconds and then disappear!!! I can see with "top" command that is running but not visible on desktop. It appears again for few second before machine switch off!!!

Morning, seafaring one :)

I'm here to give you "the third degree".

What Distro are we on?

Where did you get the conky from and how was it installed?

Is there a file in your Home called eg .conkyrc ? Make sure Show Hidden Files and Folders is checked, or else Ctrl-h

Capta has a related Thread here https://www.linux.org/threads/system-infos-on-desktop.19356/#post-57585

... and my disclaimer remains the same - don't know a lot about conkys yet :(

But I read somewhere about being able to make visible at all times.

Cheers

Wiz

(and yes I'm very proud :D:p:D)

... and so you should be :) I am pleased for you.

I just started a new Bookmarks Folder yesterday called Conky in an effort to drag my sorry arse into learning about the little suckers, so I will add your link, thanks for sharing :p

I note it features the ever-increasingly-popular Tony George (he of Timeshift fame) and his Conky Manager. Cool.

Enjoy

Chris
