What distro are you using?

The problem is probably with your graphics. The graphics for the Lenovo G580 are listed as :
  • NVIDIA® GeForce® GT630M 1GB/2GB graphics
  • NVIDIA® GeForce® GT610M 1GB graphics
  • Intel HD Graphics 4000
You need to find out which card you have and install the correct driver.

It probably works in other laptops because they don't have such advanced graphics.

I tried using ubuntu-12.04.3-alternate-amd64,and also BT 5,

my graphics card is intel HD Graphics 3000.
intel core i3-2348M processor ,2.30 Ghz,4 gb ram
how do i solve this problem..??

I wonder if Kali Linux would be worth a try? That is the current successor to Backtrack. Unless you want the old one for some reason.

If the OP is creating these USBs in Windows, I wonder if PenDrive Linux would be worth a try? http://www.pendrivelinux.com/
