Hi everybody,
a few hours ago I installed Debian 12 on a Dell Vostro 3520, I wanted to connect a wireless mouse but I found out that the bluetooth in the settings does not work at all.
I tried installing firmware-atheros and bluez then using systemctl to enable it, but nothing. When I try to turn on the Bluetooth button at the top right of Gnome it remains gray and does not become blue, same thing in the settings.
I really do not know how to fix this.

Tell me if you need more information to solve the problem.

I have run into a similar issue with my Logitech Ultrathin Touch Mouse t630, so far have not found a solution, but fortunately it does recognize one of my other mice so just using it till I can figure this out or find a solution somewhere.

Not sure yet how helpful this is, but looks like there is a way to pair bluetooth peripherals thru the terminal, but be mindful you can brick your system so be careful what you do in the upper admin permission levels. I broke my first computer not knowing what I was doing with my BIOS. :)

Well... after some changes when I rebooted Debian i got this funny screen (this is take from the Internet but mine was the same)

On an online post they said the only way to solve was a clean install, so I decided to get OpenSuse Leap with KDE.
I have been trying Pop!_OS, Ubuntu and Debian on my Ubuntu certified laptop for 6 months now and all of them gave me tons of troubles. Let's see if this works... anyway I am still shoked that a certified hardware is not compatibile with its distro.

I'm reading thru this; hopefully it will have some answers for us.
I really like that mouse from Logitech, so hopefully we'll figure it out so I can still use it.
But if not, at least my trackball does still work so I can make due with that if I have to.

I thought this was interesting
"Preparation - Install Bluetooth support (package bluetooth) :
Read /usr/share/doc/bluez/README.Debian.gz to get some understanding of what's going on.
Make sure the Bluetooth daemon is running. If it's not running, start it."

Some folks love KDE, I have not had much luck with it. So far the only distribution I have any positive experience with is LMDE 6 Faye, Windows kept reinstalling itself when I tried the others.
