Is it a must to have a dedicate IP?

Do it help in increasing the security ?

No, it's not a must.
You can have your server running dyndns or something similar, which uses dynamic IP.

It does not increase security.

Dedicated IP is not must, But if you have multiple websites on server, and you want to purchase SSL certificate for a particular website then you need dedicated IP.
